Introducing The Path To Infinity

Chaos Pro Wrestling Presents The Path To Infinity Series. From now until the Infinit1 Gauntlet in July, wins and losses and "how you play the game" matter in Chaos Pro Wrestling!

In July of 2012, Christian Rose became the first ever Infinit1 Champion when he came out on top at the Infinit1 Gauntlet. Since then he has successfully defended that tile against all comers, including world-class and well known champions such as Davey Richards and DG USA star Ricochet. It remains to be seen if anyone will be able to end the streak Rose has been on but, the time to find the competitors that will partake in the second annual Infinit1 Gauntlet in 2013 is now.

The competitors of the 2013 Gauntlet will be determined via a 5 month points series that will include all non-title match ups at all Chaos Pro Wrestling Sanctioned Events. Competitors will need to perform at their peak to get their shot at the highly coveted Infinit1 Title in the summer.

Learn how the series works after the jump!

How the Series Works

Beginning now, all non-title match competitors at Chaos Pro Wrestling events have more than that night's payday to be concerned with - their standings in the Path To Infinity Series are also on the line. Each match will either earn or lose points for the competitors involved - no matter the type of match - tag, singles, etc. the outcome will impact their chances at entering the Gauntlet in July.

JT Mac has already received numerous inquiries from competitors throughout North America seeking entry to the series and fans will be seeing new faces seeking their shot at the highly coveted title when the time comes in July for 10 men (and women) will compete for their opportunity to compete in the 2013 Infinit1 Gauntlet.

Points in the Series are Awarded as Follows:

  • A win (either in one on one or as a member of a team when appropriate) awards 5 points
  • A loss (either in one on one or as a member of a team when appropriate) removes 2 points
  • Pinning your opponent awards 3 Points (e. g. in a tag-team match, if won by pinfall, then each member of the team will receive 5 points for the win, and the competitor that scores the pin will receive 3 additional points for a total of 8)
  • Causing your opponent to submit awards 5 points (5 points for the win, and an additional 5 points for the submission)
  • Loss by DQ other than Countout removes 5 points
  • Loss by DQ via Countout removes 3 points
  • Elimination where applicable (e.g. Battle Royal, Elimination Tag, etc.) removes 1 point

Points standings will be updated immediately following each CPW Event and posted on the Chaos Pro Wrestling website and social media outlets.
